Mobile Treadmill

It is exactly what it sounds like; we come to your house with our custom van with non-motorized treadmills that are designed for dogs and provide an exercise session for your dog. The dogs are fitted with a chest harness to ensure their comfort and safety. The treadmills are design specifically for canines, they are powered by puppy power, they only go as fast as your dog wants to go.

  • Always clear physical activities with your veterinarian.

We recommend, and require all of our runners be at least 6 months old.

We can accommodate dogs up to 200lbs.

  • We schedule sessions for 30mins. Very few dogs are capable of running for 30mins, we will monitor the dog and modify their exercise to minimize the risk of injury.

  • Make sure your dog has not eaten for at least 2 hours before the session, you can imagine how uncomfortable it would be to run with a full stomach and there is an increased chance of injury.

  • It is our policy that only one dog is on the treadmill at a time. One big benefit of our service is that it is a tailored 1:1 session. Additionally, dogs have different speeds and styles they prefer to run at and a solo session is the best way to optimize their experience.

  • We HIGHLY recommend that you attend the first trial session so everyone has a chance to meet and become comfortable with the environment and what will take place. After that, we can make arrangements to complete sessions in your absence.

  • It depends, many dogs will become comfortable with the treadmill quite quickly and run at full speed. Just like human athletes, we start the dogs at a slower pace so they can “warm up”. We also closely monitor the dogs throughout the session and can control their speeds with the use of incline and resistance to optimize their workout.

  • Cancellation Policy: Owner agrees to keep their scheduled session, and we understand that dogs, people, and life are unpredictable at times. We send out a confirmation text at 8am the day before a scheduled session to prevent unexpected changes and assume confirmed unless otherwise noted. If rescheduling or canceling is needed, owner agrees to let us know, at minimum, by 8pm the day before their session to allow adjustment on our end. Cancellations made the same day will result in a $25 cancellation fee, and any sessions canceled within an hour of the scheduled time will be charged at full cost of the missed session.

  • We accept cash, check, and card. You can prepay via Square invoice, save a card on file, or pay at your sessions.

  • It usually takes about 15 minutes for them to be trained how to balance and propel themselves on our treadmill. After that, the more they do it, the better they get as their confidence in themselves and the equipment grows.

All sessions are closely supervised for best safety. Since there are NO MOTORS, the dogs run and move at their own speed, so when they speed up and slow down on their own, the treadmill speeds up and slows down. We monitor their movements and take our time to ensure a safe and positive experience.

Please let us know any “quirks” or special needs your dog may have so we can best customize training to their needs.

  • That kind of depends on the dog, most dogs will lie down and pant for a while, a few will remain excited for a short time after the session.

It is important to wait until their heart rate has slowed from the session before you feed them.

We recommend, especialy for older or larger dogs, that you rub their legs to help them recover by facilitating the removal of lactic acid from their muscles.
